Programme

All presentations included in the conference programme must be submitted through the call for abstracts, which is now closed for Velo-city 2026. Each contribution undergoes a two-step evaluation process before the highest rated ones are included in the final programme.

For more information, read below “How is the Velo-city programme assembled?”

Every autumn, Velo-city hosts an international call for abstracts, inviting submissions from anyone working in cycling or sustainable urban development. All submitted abstracts undergo a thorough review by an international team comprising over 80 international mobility experts.

Each abstract is evaluated three times, and those with the highest scores are integrated into the final conference programme by the Velo-city programme team. Special attention is paid to gender and geographical balance to make sure diverse voices are represented and heard.

The Velo-city 2026 call for abstracts is now closed. Read more on this webpage.

Exhibition and partnerships

Exhibition and partnerships opportunities are currently proposed to all organisations aiming for a permanent presence at the conference. Read more, contact us or schedule a call for more details.
