Suzanne Lécroart has worked for over 20 years as a civil servant in the fields of social housing and urban planning policy for local authorities in the east of France and in the Paris region. She has degrees in management and urban planning, and a personal passion for slowing down cities. She is now head of the Active and Low-Carbon Mobility Unit in the Directorate-General for Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility, the central administration of the French Ministry of Transport. She represents France as the National Cycling Contact Point in Europe.
