Dr. Sonja van Dam is Assistant Professor in the Design for Sustainability group at the TUDelft. Her research focuses on scaling up the circular economy. A key element in her work is incorporating the human perspective in the transition towards a more sustainable and circular society. This includes co-creating with stakeholders in value chains, participatory design methods, designing for sustainable behaviour change, and usability in e.g. the development of circular product-service systems and energy transitions and reductions. She is an avid cyclist, commuting 15 km to work, with a long-standing interest in cycling and sustainability, graduating with Koga in 2006.
