Simona Larghetti, has lived and worked in Bologna since 2006, where she graduated, and is the mother of two children. A sustainable mobility activist since 2009, she founded Salvaiciclisti in 2012 and served as its National Spokesperson. From 2013 to 2021, she was President of the Municipal Bicycle Council of Bologna. In 2015, she co-founded Italy’s first bike station (Velostazione) and a company providing cycling mobility services. Since 2021, she has been active in institutional politics with Coalizione Civica per Bologna and, since 2024, with Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra.
