Simon Labouret is Mobility Project director at the City of Grenoble (France) which was awarded the title of "European Green Capital" in 2022. With the support of the Metropolitan authority, he supervises the arrangement of the city streets to reduce the use of cars to the benefit of walking, cycling, public transports, green spaces and urban vitality. More precisely he formulates expertise and support in the implementation of cycling infrastructures and sidewalks, the creation of new pedestrian streets surrounding schools, or the reorganisation of traffic flows in order to produce quieter neighbourhoods. In 2019 he co-wrote a seminal cycling infrastructure guide for the Paris cycling association “Paris en selle” which helped to modernize French cycling infrastructure doctrine. He holds a PhD in political science.
