Áron has been working for people-friendly cities through cycling advocacy and promotion for two decades. As the head of the first active and micromobility team at the Municipality of Budapest, he focuses on the development and promotion of cycling and walking. He is responsible for award-winning European Mobility Week activities, is a frequent guest in the media, and a speaker at national and regional conferences, including three TEDx events in Budapest and the Velo-City conferences in Vienna, Lisbon, Leipzig, and Gdansk. He has been a board member of the largest Hungarian cycling NGO for 12 years, with roles in strategic planning, international relations, and overseeing the organization’s communication activities. He was the chief organizer of the I Bike Budapest parade, which attracts tens of thousands of participants every year. Áron believes mobility is key to fighting climate change, while also being a tool to create accessible, equitable, and happier cities.
