Pui-Yuen Cheng is a sustainable mobility advisor and transportation engineer with a background in project management for infrastructure and public space design, specializing in cycling infrastructure. She combines technical expertise with an integrated perspective on mobility, urban development, and active transportation. Currently, she works for the Dutch government as a project leader and coordinator of national and international cycling strategies. In the Netherlands, she operates at both programmatic and strategic levels, leading initiatives that promote cycling among children, low-income groups, and within school environments, with a strong focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainable mobility. Internationally, she contributes to the ACTIVE programme, focusing on Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), particularly in Latin America (LATAM). Within this program, she supports the development of sustainable and inclusive cycling policies and knowledge exchange, helping cities and governments strengthen active mobility strategies and improve access to safe cycling and walking infrastructure
