Naomi Cambien always travels by bike in Brussels. Because it’s fast, healthy and the best way to get to know a city. In the capital, she experiences the “Build it, and they will come!” phrase at first hand, but she also sees that the path towards more safety and less polarization is still long. Having worked at the Flemish administration on mobility and climate topics before, she now works as a policy advisor at the environmental umbrella organization Bond Beter Leefmilieu. There she is committed to a sustainable mobility system in good balance with the environment, with safe infrastructure, qualitative public transport and less polluting cars.
