Dr. Martin Loidl is head of the Mobility Lab research group at the University of Salzburg. He has degrees in geography (with a major in planning) and geoinformatics. His PhD in applied geoinformatics revolved around spatial models of bicycling safety threats. In his research, Martin integrates domain expertise from various fields, in order to gain a better understanding of complex mobility systems. In this context, he is especially interested in sustainable mobility and the inter-relation between the physical as well as social environment and mobility behaviour.
