Helena Porto is an architect and urban planner from Brazil, currently the Director of the Arariboia Cycling Hub in Niterói. Her professional journey combines public policy, urban design, and educommunication, promoting active mobility, public engagement, and a culture of cycling. Helena is part of the Urban95 Brazil network, supported by the Bernard van Leer Foundation, and advocates for cities designed with and for children— because cities that are better for children are better for everyone. She is also a master’s student in the Postgraduate Program in Tourism (PPGTUR-UFF), where she researches cycling tourism as a tool for sustainable territorial development.
