Hana Svobodová works as a Transport Development Specialist at the City of Prague, where she has been focusing on cycling and everyday mobility for the past 2.5 years, with a strong focus on bike-sharing. She is closely involved in the development and operation of Prague’s bike-sharing system, alongside other practical projects such as new bike parking facilities and digital tools that help people navigate the city by bike. She studied Social Geography and Regional Development, with an interest in how public space is used and how cities can become more livable. Before joining the city administration, she worked in fields marginally related to regional development. Today, she is particularly interested in how bike-sharing can help make cycling a natural and accessible option for everyday trips, and how cities can gradually become more bike-friendly.
