I am Gert de Wit, 27 years old, working at NS Stations as a researcher specializing in Passenger Flows both inside, towards and around the train stations in the Netherlands. My work focuses heavily on the OV-fiets and bicycle parking facilities to optimize the bike-train combination. I strive to make traveling by bike and train as seamless and efficient as possible for passengers. Additionally, I analyze passenger flows within the stations to improve movement and reduce congestion, ensuring everyone travels quickly and safely. I am passionate about sustainable transport and committed to enhancing more sustainable door-to-door journeys. Through my research and efforts, I aim to contribute to achieving the optimal integration of bike and train travel.
