Gergely Barta is a junior researcher at the Institute for Transport Sciences (KTI) in Hungary. He is currently completing his Master’s degree in Regional and Environmental Economics while contributing to the Active2Public Transportation (A2PT) Interreg Danube Region project. His research focuses on the integration of active and public transport, sustainable mobility, and regional development. Within A2PT, he supports the evaluation of multimodal transport connections, the collection of best practices, and the development of a practical toolbox designed to assist stakeholders seeking to improve multimodality. He is particularly passionate about cycling and about promoting more liveable and sustainable urban environments.
