Françoise Rossignol is the mayor of Dainville and vice-president in charge of mobility and transportation at the urban community of Arras. She is the president of the Club of Cities and Territories for Cycling and Walking (Club des villes et territoires cyclables et marchables) and vice-president of the Grouping of Transport Organizing Authorities. Her experience as an elected official in a territory with both rural and urban characteristics allows her to understand, on a daily basis, how much residents are eager for new possibilities for transportation and alternatives to a system that has favored car usage. Solutions exist, and among them, cycling and walking stand out as a fantastic option. Being the president of the Club of Cities and Territories for Cycling and Walking is an opportunity to scale up her commitment to active mobility.
