Davide Paltrinieri, 41, was born and lives in Modena. He is an expert advocate for cycling mobility and a national board member of FIAB Italia, where he serves as the reference point for the education sector. Ten years ago, when he became a parent, he began his role as an activist — first within FIAB Modena, and then by co-founding the "Genitori ECOattivi" a parents group through which he develops local initiatives to promote children's independent mobility, from the Streets for Kids campaign to the Child-Friendly City project. His local activism led him to understand that change is most effective when people work together; he supports the coordination of the local ARIA network, Modena30, and national campaigns such as "Codice della Strage" and the more recently Italian Equitable Mobility Network (Rete Italiana Mobilità Equa).
