Carolina Butrich is an environmental engineer, nature lover, and conservation leader from Peru. She is the Manager of Conservamos por Naturaleza, an initiative of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA) that strengthens and scales citizen-led conservation efforts. The initiative combines legal tools, creative communication, citizen campaigns, and leadership development to generate meaningful local impact while supporting communities, young leaders, private initiatives, and grassroots collectives that are transforming how conservation is practiced across Latin America. Over the past decade, Carolina has worked at the intersection of environmental science, public policy, and civic participation. She currently co-leads Pedalea Seguro, a national initiative that promotes safe cycling and sustainable urban mobility in Peruvian cities. The program combines open data, community engagement, and tactical urbanism to support better cycling infrastructure and healthier, more livable neighborhoods.
