Bill Nesper has been the Executive Director of the League of American Bicyclists since 2017. The League is the national organization representing cyclists in the United States since 1880, powered by 200,000 members and supporters. Throughout his career, Bill has focused on building bridges between grassroots advocates, transportation planners, and policymakers. He has worked directly with advocates and communities across the US, helped shape local and state advocacy campaigns, and contributed to national policy guidance that advances safer streets and more equitable, sustainable transportation. Bill supports a great and growing team, leading their collective efforts to strengthen the League’s role as the voice for cyclists in Washington, D.C., deepen partnerships across the active transportation movement, and ensure that the organization reflects and serves the diversity of people who bike in America. His leadership emphasizes collaboration and equity in service to create healthier, stronger, and more connected cycling communities.
