Audrey de Nazelle is an associate Professor at the Centre of Environmental Policy, Imperial College London, where she teaches on Urban Sustainable Environments. She is editor in chief of the journal Urban Transitions. Audrey’s an expert in transdisciplinary research, combining fields of urban planning and design, environmental sciences, behaviour change, health, and societal engagement. Her work is aimed at promoting healthy and sustainable cities, and has focused especially on understanding determinants and benefits of active travel policies - including emissions and exposures, health risks and co-benefits, and barriers and enablers of urban transitions. Dr de Nazelle holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Public Health in Environmental Sciences, a Maîtrise in Mathematics from the University of Paris VI Pierre et Marie Curie. She conducted her postdoctoral research at the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (now ISGLOBAL), Barcelona, Spain.
