Angela Francke works as professor for bicycle traffic and sustainable mobility at the University of Kassel, one of the very first German cycling professorships. Her research is related to bicycle transport planning for all, effects of car-free measures on active mobility, mobility behaviour change and active mobility, also with focus on the global south. She studied transportation economics at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, and Lille, France. She did her PhD in Germany and Trinidad and Tobago and worked on pricing policies and sustainable mobility.
