Alexandra joined the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) in May 2022, working on EuroVelo, the European cycle route network. She is currently EuroVelo & Projects Coordinator and works on co-funded Interreg projects such as Baltic Biking Upgrade (EuroVelo 10) and ICTr (EuroVelo 13).
Since the beginning of the year, Alexandra also dedicates a part of her working time to the European Certification Standard, the methodology developed by ECF to assess the quality of long-distance cycling routes. She actively took part in the organisation of the EuroVelo Route Inspectors’ Training in 2024 and is supporting the update of GPX tracks on the EuroVelo.com website.
Additionally, Alexandra contributes to the organisation of the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conferences and the EuroVelo Council meetings, and she supports the development of business opportunities (in particular for tour operators and SMEs).
She graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Brussels, Belgium) with a Master in Environmental Sciences and Management. Before that, she studied Political Science in Lille, France, and International Relations in Rome, Italy.
After work, you will find her training at the dance studio, cycling around with her road bike or joining the monthly Critical Mass in Brussels.
