What if the words we use about mobility are shaping the debate more than we realize? This fast-paced and interactive session invites the audience into a live battle of words, where familiar terms such as micro-mobility, vulnerable road users, soft mobility, and active mobility are challenged, defended, and turned upside down. Are these useful concepts, or do they quietly reproduce car-centered thinking? Drawing on the idea of motonormativity, the session explores how language can normalize car dominance or help imagine fairer, safer, and more human-scale mobility. Through sharp exchanges between speakers from planning, industry, academia and politics, the audience will be encouraged to question their own vocabulary and assumptions. Expect debate, humor, provocation, and fresh perspectives on the language of mobility.
