Yet growing opposition to cycling infrastructure and policies can hinder is wider adoption. This session explores why cars still dominate perceptions of mobility and examines the social dynamics driving resistance to cycling initiatives. Bringing together international experts from Ethiopia, the United States, United Kingdom, and Italy, it will present real-world examples and insights. Through presentations and discussion, the session will identify strategies to build broader public support, develop effective communication approaches, foster constructive dialogue, and address negative perceptions around cycling.
