Enabling cycling for young citizens

This session will give you concrete elements on how to engage younger demographics in a healthier lifestyle. Gdansk will showcase turning cycling into a lifestyle, with replicable actions on citizens’ engagement, gamification and partnerships with schools. FIAB will present its strategy to foster active mobility and reactivate mind body connection for kids, whilst Active Mobility Albania will showcase its education park and educational modules rolled out in Tirana. BYCS will present bike buses as one of the means to foster this transition. The objectives of the session are: • Exploring how to federate civil society around active lifestyles, including cycling • Where are the roadblocks to sustained engagement? • What are the tools that work for children: campaign, city-wide challenge, gamification, infrastructure
