Digital technologies are opening new possibilities to plan, manage, and promote cycling more effectively. This session explores how innovative data platforms and digital tools can support smarter decision-making and more inclusive mobility systems. Speakers will show how digital tools can help future-proof cycleways by improving planning, maintenance, and network optimisation. The session will also present DQ Flows, an initiative aimed at closing critical data gaps to better understand transport poverty and ensure mobility systems serve all communities. Finally, participants will discover the research platform for the Bicycle Economy in Salvador, which maps the economic impacts and opportunities created by cycling and active mobility. Together, these experiences highlight how digital innovation can strengthen evidence-based cycling policies and investments.
