BICI in Mombasa, Tirana and Bogotá: World-class cycling infrastructure for all ages and abilities

Through the Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI), ten cities around the world have been delivering innovative and ambitious cycling facilities while pioneering new practices in design, data collection, evaluation, and community engagement. In this fireside chat, moderated by an expert from GDCI, representatives from three of the cities, from three different continents, will reflect on their projects. They will share the challenges and opportunities they faced - from community engagement to implementation - in delivering their urban dreams. The experiences of the three cities were inevitably influenced by their unique histories, topographies, resources, community support, and political will, but each offers lessons relevant to cities everywhere.
