Still thinking about Velo-city 2024? ECF’s next conference is just around the corner

Did you know that the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) doesn’t just organise Velo-city? Every fall, ECF also hosts the EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference, a three-day event on all things cycling tourism. The conference is an annual professional event that fosters the growing interest in cycling and sustainable tourism. It explores what the future holds in these sectors, aiming to inform, inspire, and connect professionals on the topics of EuroVelo, cycling tourism, and cycle route networks. Just like Velo-city, the conference is all about community, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of ideas.

This year, the conference will take place from 23 to 25 September in Viborg, Denmark. Located on EuroVelo 3 – Pilgrims Route, Viborg is a key meeting point along the ancient Hærvejen road. Under the theme "Legacy and Localhood," the conference will explore how local and large-scale events, such as the Tour de France, contribute to promoting cycling practices and culture. The programme will also address how to engage communities in cycle route projects, diversity within cycling tourism, and sustainable local development.

Check out our exciting programme designed to make this a memorable and insightful event. Do not miss our 40+ speakers, inspiring plenary and parallel sessions, as well as 3 keynote speeches and 5 technical visits. Registrations are open until 6 September.
